Liberia will receive charter flight from Germany

 

Liberia International Airport Daniel Oduber, will receive its first charter flight from Düsseldorf, Germany, November 6.

 

The information was confirmed yesterday afternoon by Minister of Tourism, Carlos Ricardo Benavides, who said the deal was closed over a week ago with the European wholesale agency TIU, which will be in charge of the flights.

 

The company, considered one of the largest in Europe, has already released its travel packages to Costa Rica, added the executive.

 

Details.

An Airbus with a seating capacity of 250 will land in the Guanacaste´s terminal once a week stating November 6th.

 

According to the itinerary, the aircraft will arrive in Liberia Saturdays at 3:30 p. m. and will return to Düsseldorf at 4:30 p. m. This is a direct flight.

 

'We are delighted with the news, because there is obvious interest in new ventures, new factors that will help increase tourist arrivals to the country ", said the Minister

 

Costa Rica will be the first Central American country to receive flights from TIU. In Latin America, the agency connects Germany to Cancun (Mexico), Montego Bay (Jamaica) and Puerto Plata and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic).

 

The Costa Rican Institute of Tourism is negotiating with a U.S. airline so that it also travels to Daniel Oduber Airport, Benavides confirmed

 

The Minister of Tourism did not reveal its name nor the name of the departing city.
